Stem Cell Injections
Most adults suffer from pain or stiffness in their hip or knee joints. However, if your symptoms are keeping you from sleeping soundly, playing with your kids/grandkids, doing basic chores around the home, traveling, or anything else you love, it might be time for medical intervention.
Degeneration of joint cartilage and bone, also known as osteoarthritis, can cause extreme levels of discomfort. In these cases, stem cell injections can be employed as a conservative treatment measure. It is a nonsurgical option that may be highly effective in alleviating osteoarthritic symptoms. Research has shown that using stem cells to treat arthritis has resulted in improvement in new cartilage or bone formation. If your condition is too far progressed or if the stem cell injections do not provide sufficient pain relief, outpatient joint replacement surgery may be the next best step.
What You Need To Know
The OJRCA Method
Stem cells provide the building blocks for potential body repair. They can be harvested from your body in young patient cases, or can be obtained from other sources such as fetal cord blood. In earlier cases of osteoarthritis (grade I and II) it is believed by some that these cells may help to naturally replenish and repair damaged tissue. Stem cells can suppress inflammation and release proteins that decrease pain. Stem cell injections and newly developed stem cell variants have shown some experimental promise at potentially slowing the rate of degeneration, and therefore may delay surgery.
There is a wide variety of stem cell products and derivatives for sale. Patients need to be educated consumers regarding what they spend their hard earned money on when it comes to stem cell products. At Outpatient Joint Replacement Center of America, we ONLY utilize what we believe to be the highest quality injection that produces the greatest likelihood for improvement for our patients. We are more than happy to provide you with a service and discuss openly the other potential injection options that are available in the market. Most patients are not candidates for autologous (your own) stem cell harvesting based on typical patient age.
Our regenerative treatment option does not require a nerve ablation for effectiveness as there is no data to support the simultaneous injection of a regenerative product at the same time as a nerve ablation. We are happy to discuss this further as we realize this is an expensive out of pocket treatment option for most patients
“I had my surgery first thing in the morning, and was home by early evening, already walking”
“The entire experience from beginning to end was wonderful. I feel like 10 years have been added to my life and to be pain free is fantastic. I’m back to exercising, driving my car and playing full blast with my grandchildren!”
“Within 14 days after surgery I was walking with a little assistance from a cane and now am fully mobile and ready to start swinging a golf club 45 days after the surgery!”
“Dr. Clifford is an excellent surgeon, but also has a way to talk to and discuss the issues and concerns with his patients. I continue to tell everyone that asks, and some that don’t, how great it was working with him and what excellent results I had. I am very grateful I had him in my corner while going through these surgeries.”
“Dr. Clifford also insisted that I recuperate at home but that I go out for physical therapy. He said that he wanted his patients to “get up, get dressed and go out for physical therapy”. I believe that’s what saved me!”
“Dr. Clifford performed the second surgery with a fairly new and less invasive technique. What an amazing difference. I had the surgery or a Monday around noon and was home around 8pm the same night. ”
“No way! Was my first reaction to the idea that a hip replacement could be done as outpatient surgery. But now, having had both hips replaced six months apart and having returned home the same day for each, I am convinced, pleased, and walking around without pain for the first time in years.”
“I have never met another surgeon that truly loves what he does, cares about his patients and listens to what you have to say.”
